You go, Newt! He gave a dynamite speech at the debate and another one tonight. Without Romney’s big bucks and Super Pac, Newt has a huge challenge. He certainly has had a checkered past, but I believe in redemption. While Romney certainly has the leadership and financial expertise, he just cannot seem to connect with the regular hard working or unemployed America. It was interesting tonight at Newt’s speech that he brought up the Chinese-Canadian proposed pipeline partnership and the Arab-Chinese nuclear plans. Where have we been? We need to put American first and stop pussyfooting around with other countries trying not to offend them. If you have not heard, Mr. Gingrich’s S. Carolina primary victory speech, listen to it. We certainly cannot tolerate another four years of lack of leadership and too many cabinet Czars! Romney has sound policies and is still to be considered; he just needs to “Bring It” to the country.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Despite our faltering economy; the idiocy of both parties of our elected Fat Cat Congressmen and women; the seeming inability of our President to Presidentially sit down with our Congressional Super Committee to hammer out a deal to keep us out of default; the weak Republican field for President and a Democratic President that seems to put his 2012 campaign above our country’s welfare; our crumbling infrastructure; our woefully inadequate educational system; our plan to mistakenly cut aid to those who most need it; our plan to reduce defense spending in this very dangerous world; our rising joblessness and homelessness, we still have much to be thankful for in this the most free and still powerful country in the world. So let us be thankful for all of God’s blessings and the lessons he gives us in our journey on earth. Let us truly thank Him and pray for our people, our servicemen, our country, and our families. Let us give Him thanks and Praise for what we do have! Happy Thanksgiving, Meredith

REMEMBER SO WE WILL NOT LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN-THE HOLOCAUST

There recently was a death of a 98-year-old lady named Irena.
During WWII, Irena got permission to work in the Warsaw ghetto, as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist.

She had an ‘ulterior motive’.

She KNEW what the Nazis’ plans were for the Jews (being German).
Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of the tool box she carried; and she carried in the back of her truck a burlap sack (for larger kids).
She also had a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto.
The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog, and the barking covered the kids/infants’ noises.
During her time of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants.

She was caught, and the Nazis broke both her legs, arms and beat her severely.
Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard.

After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived and reunited the family.
Most had been gassed. Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes or adopted.
Last year Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize.*

She was not selected.

President Obama won one year before becoming President for his work as a community organizer for ACORN

Al Gore won also— for a slide show on Global Warming.

My father served in World War II; my husband served in the Navy; one brother served in the Army in Germany and one brother retired from the Army. On this day let us reflect on the sacrifice that our service men and women made and are still making for our freedom. I am most deeply disturbed about how we treat our veterans and especially disabled veterans as well as widows and widowers of the Valiants who gave their lives for our freedom or came back with severe disabilities which most bear courageously with no self pity. ..to listen to his son whine about being bored.

….to keep a straight face when people complain about potholes.

         to be tolerant of people who complain about the hassle of getting ready for work.

…to be understanding when a co-worker complains about a bad night’s sleep.

..to be silent when people pray to God for a new car.

….to control his panic when his wife tells him he needs to drive slower.

..to be compassionate when a businessman expresses a fear of flying.

….to keep from laughing when anxious parents say they’re afraid to
send their kids off to summer camp.

….to keep from ridiculing someone who complains about hot weather.

….to control his frustration when a colleague gripes about his coffee being cold.

….to remain calm when his daughter complains about having to walk the dog.

…..to be civil to people who complain about their jobs.

…..to just walk away when someone says they only get two weeks of vacation a year.

….to be forgiving when someone says how hard it is to have a new baby in the house.
The only thing harder than being a Soldier…

545 PEOPLE — By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then
campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are
against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and
high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The president does.

You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations.
The House of Representatives does.

You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court
justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly,
legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems
that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was
created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty
to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central
bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They
have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a
congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don’t care if
they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the
power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is
the legislator’s responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what
they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of
party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount
of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood
up and criticized the President for creating deficits…. . The president
can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole
responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving
appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She
is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the
president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it,
they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace545
people who stand convicted — by present facts — of incompetence and
irresponsibility. I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not
traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth
that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must
follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red ..

If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it’s because they want them in IRAQ. If
they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not
available to the people, it’s because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire
and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they
can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from
whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the
belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy,"
"inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an
oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power..

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their
bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees…

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

I don’t know about you, but I am totally thoroughly outraged about our precious Gulf coast being assaulted by oil from a BP well—a well that should never have been drilled five miles under the ocean floor without safety nets in place. I am outraged by BP’s excuses, its lies, its taking shortcuts and hoping nothing bad would happen, and its worship of the almighty dollar to feed its investors their dividends each quarter. BP is not an American company; why is it operating off our shores. How many politicians has BP bought in order to do the deep drilling it has knowing the possible dangers to our environment and its personnel. It is our environment, not the UK environment that is being ruined in the Gulf: our shrimp and fish, our bird life, our beaches, our tourist industry and the livelihood of our people are all being insulted by oil. Wasn’t Alaska enough of a wake up call ? When will we as a nation realize that the oil industry does not have a ecological collective bone in its profit geared body. How long has the oil industry lobbied those in Washington for its own ends and certainly not for the good of the American people. When will we become fed up with corporate gluttony at the expense of our fragile ecosystems. Stop buying BP. Let it feel the results of their greed in their pocketbook as money is all that matters to BP and every other oil company. Our last president was part of the oil industry and his presidency showed his partiality. Our present president needs to take charge and take charge now without giving BP any benefit of the doubt. I believe so much is being kept from public knowledge about this whole horrible situation. Start rattling the cages of legislators to do a thorough, unbiased investigation and stop buying gas from BP!!!

A Lesson in Economics

If only, our country would listen!!!

As the late Adrian Rogers said, “You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.”

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama’s socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, “OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama’s plan”. All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.

As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.

The second test average was a D! No one was happy.

When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else. All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Could not be any simpler than that. (Please pass this on.)

PRAYER FOR OUR OWN "ONE NATION UNDER GOD"

I remember reading about the children of Israel in the Old Testament who turned from God time and time again, only to realize their mistake and pray for forgiveness. Each time, God would forgive them and they would walk with him for a time. So, I am going to ask you to join me in praying for our nation every day. Please read the email below. God is in control.

May God Have Mercy On America; Protect Our Troops

When we were in Texarkana last week, there were signs in people’s yards that said, “America, prayer is our only hope” – with 2 Chron. 7:14 underneath. We certainly need God’s help!

I have no idea who started this, but I certainly agree with this e-mail. I heard a preacher on TV tonight who said if we pray for our nation that things will turn around.

After a day of contemplation and soul searching, I have decided to reach out to my friends and relatives and ask you to do something that has been troubling me for a long time.

Our nation is/has been on the slippery slope for a long time. If you look around you will find corruption, greed, moral decay, and a steady move away from the things that made us great. The principles upon which this nation was founded are no longer our backbone.

However, we can reverse this trend.

2 Chron. 7:14 in God’s Word, He states,

“If my people who are called by my
name will humble themselves and pray
and seek my face and turn from their
wicked ways, then I will hear from
heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land”

I am convinced that we must pray for our nation and its leaders and ask for forgiveness. So I ask you to join me in this plea to our Lord.

Would you please send this to people in your address book? Ask them to pray EVERY DAY. (25 to the 5th power is 9,765,625 people.) IMAGINE if each person reaches TEN others… Or all TWENTY FIVE!

If you do and they comply, we will lift up millions and millions of prayers today to our Creator. He will hear us, and in faith will answer.

I truly believe this is why the United States of America is in the shape it’s in today. Most people have forgotten that we are ONE NATION UNDER GOD! Let us, as Christians, Jews, Muslims, and all of us who have the freedom to worship in any religion in our great land, stand up and remind people that we were founded on the ideal ONE NATION UNDER GOD.
