postheadericon 3 minutes that make a difference in your day!

A few years ago a group of salesmen went to a regional sales convention in Chicago .. They had assured their wives that they would be home in plenty of time for Friday night’s dinner. In their rush, with tickets and briefcases, one of these salesmen inadvertently kicked over a table which held a display of apples. Apples flew everywhere. Without stopping or looking back, they all managed to reach the plane in time for their nearly-missed boarding…

ALL BUT ONE!!! He paused, took a deep breath, got in touch with his feelings and experienced a twinge of compassion for the girl whose apple stand had been overturned.

He told his buddies to go on without him, waved good-bye, told one of them to call his wife when they arrived at their home destination and explain his taking a later flight. Then he returned to the terminal where the apples were all over the terminal floor.

He was glad he did. The 16-year-old girl was totally blind! She was softly crying, tears running down her cheeks in frustration, and at the same time helplessly groping for her spilled produce as the crowd swirled about her; no one stopping and no one to care for her plight.

The salesman knelt on the floor with her, gathered up the apples, put them back on the table and helped organize her display. As he did this, he noticed that many of them had become battered and bruised; these he set aside in another basket.

When he had finished, he pulled out his wallet and said to the girl, "Here, please take this $40 for the damage we did. Are you okay?"She nodded through her tears. He continued on with, "I hope we didn’t spoil your day too badly."

As the salesman started to walk away, the bewildered blind girl called out to him, "Mister…." He paused and turned to look back into those blind eyes. She continued, "Are you Jesus?"

He stopped in mid-stride …. and he wondered. He gently went back and said, "No, I am nothing like Jesus – He is good, kind, caring, loving, and would never have bumped into your display in the first place.

"The girl gently nodded: "I only asked because I prayed for Jesus to help me gather the apples. He sent you to help me, so you are like Him – only He knows who will do His will. Thank you for hearing His call, Mister."

Then slowly he made his way to catch the later flight with that question burning and bouncing about in his soul: "Are you Jesus?"

Do people mistake you for Jesus?

That’s our destiny, is it not?To be so much like Jesus that people cannot tell the difference as we live and interact with a world that is blind to His love, life and grace.

If we claim to know Him, we should live, walk and act as He would. Knowing Him is more than simply quoting Scripture and going to church. It’s actually living the Word as life unfolds day to day.

You are the apple of His eye even though you, too, have been bruised by a fall. He stopped what He was doing and picked up you and me on a hill called Calvary and paid in full for our damaged fruit.

Please share this, (IF you feel led to do so).

Sometimes we just take things for granted, when we really need to be sharing what we know….Thanks.

"Being happy doesn’t mean everything is perfect. It means you’ve decided to see beyond the imperfections."

This is as good as it gets!!!

postheadericon What a widow of a Navy Seal had to say..

I hope every Christian who is offended will forward this and keep it going. On the "Today Show", Matt Lauer interviewed one of the wives of the Navy Seals killed along with the U S ambassador in Libya.
He asked, "What she would say to her children about their dad and how she would want them to remember him." Her answer, and I quote, "His love for Christ", and then continued on with a few other things. Throughout the day and on MSN homepage, replaying the story, they have edited the "Love of Christ" part out.

Why? Because using the word Christ might offend someone! Well, I am a Christian and I am offended! I’m offended that they would edit it out.
Offended that we as Christians are asked to tread lightly so as not to offend someone of another religion. I think anyone who missed the original broadcast that morning should know what NBC has done. THIS IS PROOF OF HOW BIASED NBC IS.”

This man loved his country and loved his God and gave his life for both,

just as Christ gave His life for him. Please feel free to copy this and forward it to everyone on your email list.. There are e-mails that go around saying, "If you believe in God" then forward this. Well, I am starting one right here, right now.

I am not ashamed of God, but I am becoming more ashamed of my country.

It is time to take a stand. GOD Bless America! God Bless us one and all…

Please GOD, have mercy on us!

postheadericon Wolf Haven

In September, my buddy Margaret Valentine, the co owner of two of my best in show dogs, Ch. Marshell Rattlebridge Renoir and Ch. Rattlebridge Adagio, flew up to Seattle so I could judge the Cavaliers of Puget Sound Cavalier Specialty and two all breed shows. It was just great to be with Margaret again as we have traveled the world together but since our lives have changed and she is not showing anymore and my showing is more limited, we do not see each other as often as we did or spend as much time together. We are not only friends but best buddies. clip_image001

While in Seattle, we went to Wolf Haven, a sanctuary and wolf breeding and pre release facility to add to efforts to

bring the Mexican grey wolf back from near extinction. clip_image005

Separate family trees have been created so that healthy lines develop from out crossing. clip_image003

Wolves have always fascinated me and the fact that they have been killed into almost extinction breaks my heart. clip_image006clip_image004

The following photos show the difference in salvation and wolf genocide.

postheadericon CRUELTY TO ANIMALS–LEADS TO . . .

Those of us who have worked with rescue, shelters, or humane societies have always believed if a person abuses animals that same person will abuse children or adults who cannot defend themselves.  In fact the Ohio Revised Code mandates that Humane Societies (not affiliated with the HSUS which does no real rescue work, has no shelters, and never bears the brunt of actual animal welfare) in our state take children or older adults from homes in which there is abuse or neglect.  This law is not enforced today, but humane societies must refer such cases to the appropriate social services.  There is a strong link between animal abuse and human abuse.

and to remember…from Arthur Schopenhauer’s (1788-1860), The Basis of

“Since compassion for animals is so intimately associated with goodness of character, it may be confidently asserted that whoever is cruel to animals cannot be a good man.”

Now please take a look at the following websites:

I received this from a friend today and thought it very worth passing on.  Author unknown.   I, for one, will be emailing the commissioner of the NFL.  The example of the abuse inflicted on dogs tells children who worship our football stars that it is acceptable to abuse, mutilate, and kill animals.  Please let your voice be heard. Meredith

Please support those beloved animals who cannot protect themselves….keep this going by sending it to everyone you know…. many voices get heard!

Today the commissioner of the NFL reinstated Michael Vick, which means that by this fall he could be playing football again
and earning millions of dollars.  This is the same Michael Vick who
tortured, electrocuted, shot, and hung dogs that he had trained to fight but lost their fights.  He doesn’t deserve this reinstatement.  There are some real thugs playing professional sports these days, but he takes the cake.

Make your opinion known to the NFL commissioner on this
issue.  Remember, it’s all about the money.  My email to him mentioned that I plan to boycott the games and all those sponsors who spend millions of dollars to advertise during NFL games and that I plan to encourage as many people as I can to do the same.

This is a shameful day for the NFL.  The commissioner
seems to think that Vick is remorseful….sure he is….remorseful that he screwed up his lush life.  Remorseful for the inconvenience and interruption of his life. Anyone who could hang or torture or
electrocute a dog is incapable of “normal” human feelings and certainly doesn’t deserve to profit from our hard-earned money.
